The convicted Didion authorities include Vice President of Operations Derrick Clark, sentenced to 2 years in prison for his role in falsifying files connected to dust cleansing practices and obstructing an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) examination; previous Environmental Manager Joseph Winch, also sentenced to 2 years in jail for conspiring to falsify ecological compliance certifications; and previous Food Safety Superintendent Shawn Mesner, sentenced to two years in jail for conspiring to dedicate fraud and falsify sanitation logs.
Furthermore, three previous shift superintendents faced sentencing for their participation in the falsification of sanitation logs, with penalties ranging from probation to fines. Another sentencing is scheduled for March.
Didion Milling Inc. itself faced a guilty plea to falsifying environmental and sanitation logs, leading to a $10.25 million restitution to the victims of the surge and a $1 million fine, alongside five years of probation with special oversight conditions.
